West Lake, Round Two

Earlier in the semester we went for a ride in a dragon boat; it did not look like this, unfortunately.

Oh look, a swan!

And a goose.

And a duck. How precious.

And a sheep!

  1. Gwen, thank you for the breathtaking photos! They are just beautiful.

I can't recall ever seeing a statute of a strong female leader in the US. Who is she?

Are those balloons tethered? They remind me of jellyfish. And of course I like the poultry series... and the interesting sheep.

Also enjoyed your story of the trip to Longman.

    Keep up the good work!

    Love, Mom

  4. Ooooooh, I love comments!

Mum - I read the plaque by the statue but I'm afraid I've forgotten most of it. I'm pretty sure she died tragically and Sun Yatsen said some nice stuff about her. I'll undoubtedly be at the West Lake again, so I'll stop by again and check it out. And yes, the balloons were tethered to the building. It looked like there was a performance going on, but I'm not sure what it was exactly.

Mary - my camera is a Kodak C743, pretty run-of-the-mill digital camera.

Millie, they sell baby ducks on the street here a lot, and I have to tell myself over and over that they are probably disease ridden because they're soooo cute and less than a dollar each!

    谢谢爸爸!

  6. Wow, gorgeous photos. I see what you mean about the same prom dress, although I think you're wearing it better. :)
